Important Grade II Listed Victorian mansion house set in private parkland and principally with typical white stucco elevations and ‘wedding cake’ detailing.
In the previous family ownership for many years and converted into flats, the property required significant and careful renovation and refurbishment. Working closely with the local conservation officer a sensitive scheme to reconfigure the internal space into a single dwelling was conceived and agreed.
Implementation of the renovation works required skilled craftsmen and a team of local artisans were employed to work on the internal and external fabric of the building. The original winter garden was virtually rebuilt and all mouldings, detailing and curved glass sections replicated to match the original.
A wood pellet boiler housed in an outbuilding creates a sensible and environmental solution to heating a building of this vast proportion.
